China National Convention Center, Beijing

Capturing the heart precinct of Beijing Olympic Green, China National Convention Center is right next to the Bird Nest (China National Stadium for the Olympics opening and closing ceremony), the Water Cube (National Aquatics Center) and National Indoor Stadium. Located at the core of Asian Games and Olympic business district, CNCC is 25 km, or a 30 minute drive, from the Beijing Capital International Airport. Sightseeing trips to Tian’anmen Square, Summer Palace, the Great Wall, Ming Tombs do not take much time, neither do the business visits to the Central Business District on the 3rd Ring Road East, Beijing Railway Station and China's silicon valley Zhongguancun. The nearby subway Line 8 connects CNCC to the city center, railway station and airport. The subway Line 15 and several bus routes stop at CNCC as well.

CNCC is proud of its stunning architectural design. Its front appearance looks like traditional Chinese quoins, illustrating Chinese rich history and culture, incorporating tradition and modernity, and bridging to the future.

"Green Olympics, High-tech Olympics and People's Olympics" were the three lofty goals of Beijing 2008.  CNCC, as the largest single project newly completed for the Beijing Olympics, not only stood out with good-looking appearance,  but also involved many environment-friendly technologies and measures in its design and construction in line with the Green Olympics, setting an inspired good example for China’s green convention centers by using the central vacuum system,  natural ventilation, and large numbers of new building materials.
